“Pili” is a nickname for Maripili, which is short for my full name: Maria del Pilar.
I was born in Puerto Rico, grew up in Alabama, and I lived in Austin, Texas for 22 years before moving to northern Spain. I’m now exploring the Basque Country (and beyond!) with my husband and my scruffy terrier, Frankie.
In a former life, I worked in New York City as an advertising copywriter and then as an instructor in the renowned TX Creative program in the Department of Advertising at The University of Texas at Austin. Haven Abode Properties Group is my real estate business, and I write about relationships, entrepreneurship, Spain, healing, and creativity here at Love, Pili.
